Today was our 3 year anniversary. Three years ago today we said our vows and made a promise to each other and to God to love one another through thick and thin, to support each other in all we do and to honor one another. The past 3 years have been so exciting and so much fun, we’ve also had a couple of surprises along the way (ie. Riley and Lincoln :)) but I wouldn’t change a thing. I have married the man of my dreams, the man God created for me and each and every day we spend together I am more and more convinced of that!! I am thankful for the husband and father Ty is, but most importantly for the spiritual leader and servant of Chirst that he is. I am thankful for our relationship and am so excited to see what the next 60+ years has in store for us!
I was so excited for today–Ty had called my mom a few days ago and asked her if she could watch the kids so we could go to dinner. I know, it doesn’t sound extremely exciting, but this is the first time we’ve been out alone since Riley was 3 months old!! (Yes–it’s been 20 months since we’ve been out alone) We just never had anyone to watch her! So I was pumped! Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE having my kids with us but it’s nice for us to reconnect as a couple and get a little time to ourselves.
Ty came home from work and had brought me beautiful flowers and an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen–those are my favorite!! We couldn’t wait until tonight so Ty, Riley and I all had a piece before dinner. Then, for dinner we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner, it was great and Ty knows how much I love my steak! We went walking the mall afterwards and were going to go to a movie but decided to skip it. (I haven’t been feeling very well and I was so exhausted) Riley and Lincoln were sound asleep, so spent time chatting and watching the Olympics together.
A picture of us, today, on our 3rd anniversary. (Yes, my hair is naturally curly, Ty loves it like that and I hate it, so I thought I’d wear it curly for him)
happy anniversary!! 🙂 we need to catch up! I also need to update my blog!!
