Lincoln @ 11 months

One month before Lincoln turns one, what the heck??!!

He is finally crawling on hands and knees for the most part, but when he wants to get somewhere fast he sticks with the army crawl. He proved me wrong, I thought he’d go right from army crawling to walking. Guess not.

He is also now taking a sippy cup and since then he’s only nursing 2-3 times a day. I’m getting tired of it so I’m trying to ween him from 4 times to 2 (once in the morning, and once at night). I only had a 4.5 month break between nursing Riley and when he was born. As much as I love nursing my babies, I’m ready to be done. I started giving him whole milk once a day just so he gets used to the taste and he loves it.

He’s eating strictly table food now and has been since about 10.5 months old. It’s nice not having to feed him baby food (it’s nice not making it anymore too) and he very much prefers table food. He’ll eat just about anything–especially pasta and bread!

Lincoln still wears 6-12 month clothes and size 6-12 month Robeez. I have bought him all 12-18 month clothes for the summer and I’m afraid he’s not going to fit into them right away. We’ll see. I think once he really starts drinking whole milk he’ll bulk up!

Speaking of bulking up, he weighed 19 lbs. at his 11 month appt. (but 5 days later weighed 18 lbs. 8 oz, not eating well because of his ear infections) He went to the doctor because he had another double ear infection. Although this was the first one in weeks. He sees another specialist May 19th and then we’ll go from there.

He’s been sleeping through the night again and has been for weeks. Once he got rid of his ear infections he started sleeping well again. Poor kid still sleeps in our room. I REALLY don’t want to put him and Riley in the same room, so for now it’s working out that he’s still with us in his crib. Now if only I could get him to sleep past 6 am we’d be good to go!

He loves bath, LOVES playing with Riley and is starting to stand a little bit on his own. He hates having his diaper changed and throws a big fit when he does. He has such a sweet and laid back personality and loves his momma–well, daddy and Riley too–but is especially clingy to me! I can’t say that I mind though!

One more month until my sweet little baby turns one and we’ve got a big celebration planned :)!
