Two weeks ago the kids and I made a special trip down to my hometown area to visit my uncle who was given a short period to live after a very long battle with cancer. I wanted to make sure I saw him and told him I love him and how much he means to our family. I was so glad I was able to make the trip because less than 48 hours later he passed away. He will be so missed!! It is such a sad time for our family, but I’m thankful we will see him again one day!
While we were in the area we met up with Kasey and her kids, Jamie (step-mom), McKenna and Reagan. We went to the St. Joe carousel and fountain that is located right on the beach. They have done so many great improvements in the area since I’ve lived there. After spending the morning at the carousel and eating popcorn, we got Silver Beach Pizza (YUM!) and went back to my Dad’s to let the kids play. We had such a good time, which always makes the time we spend there go too fast!

E hates carousels. I’m not sure why I even bothered trying to get her to ride. I ended up sitting on one of the non-moving benches with her laying her head on my lap until it was over. She’s not a fan (and never has been). Lincoln rode what he kept calling the mosquito, but it was actually a prey mantis :).

ALL the kids (and adults) enjoyed eating some delicious popcorn.
Fountain time!
Eating Silver Beach Pizza outside and taking turns riding the dog ?!
Micah was being a stinker and purposely not looking at the camera :). In all of my shots of the group, he is looking the other way.
