Poor Anistyn hasn’t gotten much face time on our blog. I guess that’s life as a 4th child! Where do I begin with this sweet, sweet baby! She is so incredibly good. She started sleeping through the night the night we brought her home from the hospital. I’m not talking like 5 hours sleeping through, I’m talking 10 or 11 straight hours of sleeping through the night. My recovery was incredibly easy partly because I felt very well rested.
Anistyn has such a sweet and laid-back demeanor. She’s easy going and loves to be held. For 2 weeks straight (while Ty was home) I literally sat on the couch and held her. It was bliss. Although she sleeps well, she doesn’t like to sleep on her back so she’s a tummy sleeper unless she’s swaddled. Anistyn smiles constantly and is starting to coo. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE having a new baby, it’s by far my favorite stage!
She’s fitting in so well and it seems like she’s been with us for so much longer than 2 months. Riley, Lincoln and Emmersyn adore her. Lincoln NEVER calls her Anistyn, he calls her the “new baby”. So a conversation with him would go, “Mom, can I hold the new baby” or “Mom, the new baby is crying, can I give her her nipper”, etc. He’s by far the most affectionate to her (and me!). He is constantly wanting to hold her and kiss her, he’s such a sweet and loving boy! Riley and Emmersyn don’t give her a ton of attention yet. They are too busy!
I have not done a very good job taking pictures of Anistyn. I, honestly, just can’t find the time. Between having 3 other kids, homeschooling, nursing, buying a house, and general household/wifely duties it’s crazy busy around here. I hardly sit down during the day! It’s fun and exhausting! I love having 4 little ones, but it’s also a lot of work. However, I wouldn’t change a thing!
