We have a tradition where we go around the dinner table and each of us tells the birthday girl/boy something we love about them. Today is Emery’s 10th birthday. Double digits. I can’t believe my third-born is 10 😭. Here was what each of us said about our sweet birthday girl:
– Riley: “She’s a great cook. Somehow everything she bakes always tastes good!”
– Lincoln: “She’s a kind sister who always plays what I want to play.”
– Anistyn: “She always takes our prayer requests before bed and prays for my owies.”
– Clara: “She pushes me on the swing when I ask.”
E (as most people refer to her as) is my mini. You can find her either in the kitchen, in the garden, or with a baby on her hip. She’s my kid who says she wants live in a hotel big enough to fit her and her 45 kids. She’s my sous chef and entrepreneur, my kid who wants something done the second she has an idea, writes the most thoughtful notes, and gets in trouble the least of all the kids (ok, that she got from Ty). But what we love the most about her is her heart for people and the Lord. I’ve said it a million times, but she’s going to do big things for His kingdom!
As I tell you every night when I tuck you in…”You is kind, you is smart, and you is important.” Happy bday, E. We love you!
