Something that has been a staple in our house has been a solid routine for Riley. She needs and thrives on structure and we found that out early on. She’s not the type of toddler/baby that does very well without a routine. She doesn’t do well at all without a nap or a bedtime. She does the same thing every day (of course with some exception) and I think it helps her when she knows what’s coming. Here it is (I’m only posting it so I can remember what it was like and maybe pass the routine along to Lincoln :)):
7:30am ish: Wake up
7:45am: Breakfast
9:45am: Snack
10:00am: Sesame Street (aka. Elmo) 🙂
11:00am: Lunch
11:30-1:30: Nap
3:00pm: Snack
5:30pm: Dinner
7:00pm: BEDTIME!!
Lincoln had a great routine until about 2 weeks ago when he decided to switch it up on me…now I have no idea and am just going with his cues. One thing I’m not enjoying is that he’s starting to wake up once or twice at night now. The MD thinks he’s just such a big boy that he needs to eat more and is probably going through a growth spurt…I’m glad he’s growing but hope he grows out of the waking up at night habit soon!!

i like your routine! kaitlyn is on a pretty good routine, i have kind of been wanting her to go to bed earlier. she\’s fine going to bed around 9, but if she goes to bed earlier, i\’m not up til midnight finishng dishes and laundry! i\’ve been sneaking some 8:30, 8:00 bedtimes on her.
