Playgroup Birthday Party!

We’ve been a part of a playgroup the past few months and we just absolutely LOVE it and love the people that are in it. My friend Erin and I decided that since Lincoln and Grace’s birthdays are only about a week apart that we would do a playgroup birthday party for both of them, together! We went to Erin’s beautiful home, ordered pizza, opened gifts, played with toys and ate cupcakes. We all had a great time! I was exhausted by the end of it though because Riley runs EVERYWHERE and was getting into everything. I got so sick of telling her to come down their stairs. It’s definitely more difficult to go somewhere else! Lincoln got some great gifts and we’re so glad that our home looks like a boy lives here now :)!
Lincoln had his first piece of pizza and his first cupcake. He LOVED both, but he was a little crabby since it was right in the middle of nap time. Guess I didn’t plan that very well. Thanks to everyone who came and for all the gifts!

Happy Birthday, Lincoln and Grace!

This picture cracks me up. Mandy lives across from Erin and instead of carrying Lydia over she wheeled her over in the high chair because we asked to borrow it and her other two followed behind her. The neighbors probably thought she was the laziest mom alive!

As you can see, Lincoln liked his pizza!

I put Lincoln’s cupcake in front of him but when he reached for the candle I pulled it away so he wouldn’t burn his finger—he wasn’t happy that I took his cupcake away from him!
Digging into his cupcake!

Two messy babies.

Grace also enjoyed her cupcake! (Maybe even more than Lincoln did!)

I think this was cupcake #4 for Riley. She kept climbing up on something to grab another cupcake–I think she had a sugar high.

Evan and his mustache!

Lincoln (and Riley!) LOVES this refrigerator toy!

He had plenty of help opening his gifts!

“Yeah..NO more baby dolls to play with!”

  1. Shelby, Lincolns birthday looks like it was such a blast! You\’re so talented at cake decorating!! πŸ™‚ UGH I wish I could find a playgroup around here that fit well with us- we\’ve tried 2; the first one we went to, the moms seriously broke out some wine around 11 AM and let all the kids run around- I was the only one not drinking and the only one that was watching any of them- it was so awkward- I never went back! The second one was a church group, and everyone was really nice, but a lot older than me- and they don\’t do anything but go to the church nursery and play for 2 hours a week. UGH. Wish we lived closer to you guys!!!
