Coupon Websites

Here are a few of the websites I use on a daily basis to find my grocery and other deals. I paired them up with the stores that I use them for and if I don’t shop at your grocery stores I found blogs that do weekly match ups for your stores. I think this will really help you get started. I do not know the ins and outs of each store because I haven’t shopped at them or looked into them, but on most of the websites they will have a complete “guide” to how each store works and what each store’s rules are…look into that on that store’s blog. For the stores I am familiar with I will try to explain with a little more detail. Also, many of these websites do multiple match ups so by going to one website you may be able to find what you need for 3 or 4 stores.

These are just the websites I use, there are SO many more out there so if you want more or different ones just look them up and you’ll probably find plenty!! One more thing: ALWAYS check your local ad because prices may vary from city to city, so they may be slightly different from the blogs you check out. It also may take you a little while before you can start doing all the deals because if you haven’t been getting the Sunday paper for a while then you may not have all the coupons, but if you start now you’ll get going before you know it and you can still use Internet printable coupons until then :)!

MeijerMacomb Money Savers, Cincinnati Cents, Bargain Briana, Meijer Mealbox (for store coupons)

Oh how I miss shopping at Meijer. The deals you can get are wonderful! Meijer takes manufacturer coupons, along with their own store coupons (found on the Meijer Mealbox link). Some stores double up to 2 like coupons and up to .50, but some stores don’t double at all. Take a look at the posted websites for their coupon policy too!

Kroger (mid-atlantic region websites)–Mrs. Moneysaver, Mid-Atlantic Deals and Steals

Personally, I am still getting the hang of Kroger, but slowly I am getting it. Kroger has what they call different “regions” and for the different regions they have different ads and different rules. My stores are in the Mid-Atlantic region, and I believe MI is in the Great Lakes region. If you want to find blogs with match ups for your region, you just need to determine which region you’re in and then google “Kroger great lakes region (or whichever one you’re looking for) deal blogs” and more than likely it will bring up a few. My Kroger doubles coupons up to .50 and is unlimited. I believe some of the MI Krogers just started limiting how many coupons they will double. Maybe some of you who already shop the deals who use websites have good ones for Kroger in different regions?? If so leave it in the comments…

Walgreens, Target, CVS, RiteAidHip2save

Collin, from Hip2Save, does an AWESOME job on her match ups. They come complete with “lessons” for beginners at the top of each match up post. Read those if you have questions and before you get started, they are very helpful.

In the last few months Target changed their coupon system. They used to have a coupon generator and you could print as many of their store coupons as you wanted, now they’ve changed it so you can only print two coupons per computer. Also, some of their “store coupons” are actually manufacturer coupons with the store logo on them, so you have to watch out for those. Read Collin’s posts on Target deals and it will help a lot. Target has lost a LOT of my business since changing their coupon policy. They used to have awesome deals every week, but now I honestly haven’t shopped there in months because I can get better deals elsewhere. Sometimes I think stores forget that they make money off of coupons, so by letting customers use them they actually make more money!

HomelandCristi’s (2) Cents, Coupon Princess

PublixSouthern Savers (Thanks Michelle!), Fiddledeedee

Marsh- Bargain Briana, Hot Coupon World (Jenni–you really have to dig through this website, but it’s probably one of the best to help with coupon match ups. It’s free, but you have to sign up for it. It can be confusing, but once you play around with it you’ll get the hang of it)

Walmart-MANY of the websites listed do match ups for Walmart, so keep your eyes peeled when you’re looking through them. Many Walmarts will tell you they don’t take internet coupons, however, if you read Walmart’s coupon policy it clearly states that they do. If you ever have a problem print their coupon policy and take it to their store manager. Many people suggest taking the coupon polity with you when you shop, it’s probably a good idea, but since I’ve never had a problem I don’t!

We also have a Walmart, but I don’t shop there often except for things I need and Kroger doesn’t carry. It’s not that Walmart doesn’t have “low” prices because they do, but they don’t put out a weekly ad so I never know what’s on sale and what’s not. Also, because they don’t put out a weekly ad I cannot do a weekly match up and see what I can get for free or cheap. I’d have to do it while I’m shopping in the store and that would take way too much work. So, I skip Walmart and find you can get MUCH better deals elsewhere. Of course if I were just going to Kroger without a list or coupons it would be more expensive than Walmart, but the way I shop Kroger or Meijer was always much, much cheaper.

General websites for online/store dealsHip2save (by far my favorite), Money Saving Mom, The Krazy Coupon Lady, Slickdeals (also one of my favorites for toys, electronics and other things other than groceries), Hot Coupon World

Online coupon codes-

Naughty Codes, Retail Me Not

Whenever I buy something online (which is very often) I ALWAYS check out these two sites for “coupon codes”. If there is a discount code offered it is probably on one or both of these sites so check them before ordering anything online!! Then when you check out you can put the discount code in the promotion box and save some $$.

Online printable couponscoupons.com, smartsource.com, redplum.com, and many more!

Baby/Kid deals-many of the other websites I already listed will tell you about great baby deals, but Babycheapskate is ALL about baby/kid deals.

I think one of the best pieces of advice I read once was “control your coupons”…meaning that your coupons are like cash. I always hand my coupons over to the cashier one at a time instead of handing over the whole stack because inevitably when I hand them all over coupons don’t get scanned. I wouldn’t hand my credit card over to the cashier, so I don’t give all my coupons either. This way I can make sure coupons aren’t sticking together and they all get scanned properly.

Also, if any of you have any questions leave them in my comment section or email me at shelbypaulk@gmail.com at any time. I can’t wait to see if you all get started–you have to let me know if this has helped and let me know how you’re doing down the road :)!

  2. I HATE Target's new policy. And I agree with you, I don't shop there very much anymore. I was at Target one time buying their wipes (when they had the $1 off coupon-getting refills for free) and the cashier was trying to tell me that I could only use one coupon. I tried explaining to her that it was 1 per item. She wasn't getting it. So, I bought my one item (for like 2 cents) and walked out and went to a different Target. I wasn't trying to buy hundreds like I've seen other people do either. If it is a good deal like that, I try to spread it out over several different stores so I don't clean the shelves! I now have their policy printed out and keep it in my coupon binder. I haven't had problems anywhere else.I love Hip2Save as well. Great site. I would say my top sites are: Hip2Save, Southernsavers, Couponing101 (http://www.couponing101.com/), Money Saving Mom (http://moneysavingmom.com/).

When I first heard you talk about couponing at MOPS, I shaved $20 off my weekly grocery budget. My goal is to bring it down another $15-20 soon! I saved $10 last week… it's a start. :-)Hey, are ya'll getting a lot of snow? It probably feels like MI!

  5. Forgot to mention that Ebates and Shop at home are two great sites. I use Ebates whenever I shop online. You simply go to Ebates website (http://www.ebates.com/rf.do?referrerid=%2FHMcDK8huS%2BmMpRQ%2Boo6Sw%3D%3D) and find whatever store you want to shop at (say Old Navy). Click on it and it takes you directly to Old Navy's website, but tracks your purchase and you get a percentage back in a check. I believe they mail checks 3 or 4 times a year. I did a lot of Christmas shopping online and will be getting my check in March. It is only $35, but had I not clicked on Ebates website first, I would be getting zero back, so it is better than nothing! I don't use Shop At Home because I signed up for Ebates and just decided I would only use one, but it is the same concept.
