It has been over a month since I posted my couponing tips and now I’m curious how you all are doing? Have you started using coupons and/or websites to help you find deals ? Have you noticed a change in your grocery bills? Fill me in :)!
Kroger has some great deals this week. Total before coupons in this picture was $158.xx and I paid $34.xx for everything here. My biggest pet-peave happened Sunday very early afternoon. The sale had JUST begun and some of the things I was planning on getting were already gone–like the shelves were cleared. I hate when people are rude and clear the shelves!! I’ll have to go back this weekend to see if they’ve been restocked.

Target has a great deal on cereal this week, so I picked up 16 boxes plus 8 kids tootpastes and 6 kids toothbrushes and Target actually paid me $2 and some change. I have enough coupons for 16 more boxes and more toothbrushes, so I’ll make another trip later to get the rest.

How did you do your transactions at Target? How many coupons did you have? I got lots of cereal too, but I must not be doing something right… (still learning) my purchase still broke down to getting each box for 1.47 (which is still better than full price), but I wanted them to be .50 each… I need to think outside the box. I have gotten some freebies, but I'm still trying to really cut the bill down. I do save at least $15 on my shopping trips. Too bad we couldn't go shopping together so I can see what you do. I have accumulated quite a few pampers coupons (all $2 man.) but they all expire at the end of the month… I would really like to spend under $5 a pack… but I don't know how I can do that…

Well, I haven't done quite as well as you Shelby, but a few weeks ago at target my total was $289. I mainly got all household stuff like toliet paper, paper towel, cleaning supplies, bath tolietries, etc… After all my coupons, my total came to $169 and I got two $5 gift cards for buying the qualifying stuff. Your techniques are helping immensely!

Hi Shelby! I don't know if you remember me or not, but I am part of MOPS at RBC, and you spoke to us about couponing about a year ago.. I loved listening to your talk & you inspired me to try it.. I love it! Sadly, I haven't gotten as great of deals as you have yet, but I am trying! I have also had the problem of having the shelves cleared when I get tot the store.. frustrating! :(I have noticed a big drop in our grocery budget, and I know I still have a lot to learn, but so far, it is fun! Thanks for the inspiration, and for helping to save our family some money too! 🙂

Okay, I'm completely addicted to Hip2save.com and I'm totally blaming you :)Thanks so much for all the tips! I'm definitely using tons more coupons and feel much more educated on the great deals that are out there thanks to the websites you shared! I put together my coupon binder, which took forever, but it totally makes all this couponing so much easier. I haven't been saving near as much as you, but I'm still saving!
