We finally gave in. We finally gave in to the convenience of a mini-van. It was a sad, sad day :). In all honesty, a mini-van was the absolute last vehicle I thought I’d EVER drive. However, with 3 little ones who will be 3.5 and under it just seemed like the most practical vehicle for this season of our lives. We looked into buying a big SUV, but there just isn’t much trunk room in many of them and it would be hard to get 3 kids in car seats in them without having to climb over seats. Anyhow, we gave in and got our first and hopefully ONLY mini-van today.
With that said, I actually love it. I mean, I haven’t driven it yet, but love the look and love that it’s fully loaded. It’s a silver 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT with 24,000 miles. It has satellite radio, 2 DVD players, a hard drive, USB port, back-up cam, and my must-have power sliding doors. So as much as I did not want a van this one seems great and fits our current needs. Ty test drove it and drove it home and loves the ride. We traded in the Caddi since we don’t need 3 vehicles and I was sad to see it go. Ty actually said he’d miss it too! He also made the comment that we are now officially “parents”…yeah, Ty, sorry but I think that maybe happened 3 years ago :)!

Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever imagined being 26 with 3 kids and a mini-van…but I honestly wouldn’t change a thing. We have been so blessed and thankful God has provided!

I always said I wouldn't own a mini-van either! I know that our next vehicle purchase will most likely be one though. Especially, if we have another baby. They do make life easier when you have little ones. The fact that you can push a button, the door opens, and the two older kids can walk in while you get the baby in will be super nice! I have always said that if I get a mini-van, it better be pimped out with all the great features-just like the one you got! It looks (and sounds) awesome! Welcome to parenthood (ha!). P.S. Racked up on Pampers at CVS this week. They increased the limit to 10 on Saturday, so I made a late trip out there (I had just ordered a bunch of coupons the previous week so I was stocked up).

awwww 🙂 but hey… sounds like you got it fully loaded 🙂 if you're going to have a minivan… it better have some bells and whistles! :)minivans are starting to look more like SUVs… so it's not all bad lol. once my little saturn dies… that will probably be its replacement. lol!

Don't fight it, girl! Just give in and LOVE your sweet ride just like I love mine! Seriously … even Jon loves it. I think every time he rides in it he comments about how much he likes it. Congratulations! Your life (at least in the car) is about to get so much better!!!
