Savoy "Orchard Days"

I am SO far behind posting on my blog….this is my attempt to catch up!

A few weeks back we went to a local fair with our friends and neighbors, Hillary, Joel, Anna and Norah! We haven’t taken the kids to a fair since they’ve been old enough to actually participate so I was curious if they’d like it or not. What was I thinking…of course they would! There were fun rides, greasy food and carneys! What’s not to love?! 🙂

As soon as we got there Riley and Norah wanted to ride the ferris wheel. I love this picture because the girls were so excited, especially because they got to go by themselves!

Emmersyn is such a good baby, she literally sat in her stroller the entire time we were there!! I had to make sure she made an appearance on this post ;)!

This was probably Riley’s favorite “ride”. It was the HUGE slide they could go down riding on a piece of carpet. Lincoln also wanted to do it, so without even thinking twice I sent him up with the girls. This poor kid of mine was terrified. He’s not like Riley, who is fearless. He was holding on for dear life until the guy at the top made him let go. He screamed the whole way down, then came to me and said “That’s scary, I don’t like that”. Then the next people coming down were a dad and little girl! DUH! I didn’t even think about going with him…sorry bud!!

He did love the motorcycle, though!

Riley and Norah REALLY wanted to ride this dragon. I’m pretty sure it’s been at every single fair I’ve ever been on. It’s super loud and very jerky. I kept trying to keep Riley’s attention away from it so they wouldn’t go on it, but when they had one ticket left it was what the girls really wanted to ride. I was nervous because it seemed like maybe it would be more than the girls could handle They were all smiles before it started, once they hit the first corner which whipped them like little rag dolls, you could see them holding on to save their lives! It looked like they were going to vomit and, of course, Hillary and I were cracking up. They got off and wanted to do it again! I guess it wasn’t as bad as it looked!

Lincoln loved this craft station while Riley got her face painted. He didn’t want his done so he did a craft and also had the balloon-animal-making guy make him about 5 swords (because his kept popping!).
