Random Thoughts

Just a random thought, bullet style post ahead:

  • I can hardly get my kids to sit and eat breakfast in the morning because they are so excited to play together, it makes me smile and I love, love, love that they look forward to waking up and playing!
  • The Lord has really answered my prayers with this 4th baby of ours. She is SO GOOD. She’s sleeping through the night pretty consistently and I don’t feel like a walking zombie most days! Yeah, Anistyn!!
  • Lincoln is sick, again! Double ear infection. Before that it was a sinus infection and before that was pneuonia. YUCK!
  • Today will mark the 7th time in 2 months that I’ve been to the doctor’s office with one of the kids. Today is Anistyn’s turn, it’s her 2 week well visit!
  • We’ve been taking a break in homeschooling since Anistyn was born, but we’re starting it back up on December 3rd. We’re having our “winter break” in November instead of December.
  • We haven’t been in Michigan the past few winters and I have to admit, I DREAD going through a Michigan winter again. Even though we got snow in WV and IL it was nothing like a Michigan winter!
  • We are in the process of looking for a house. It’s fun and annoying at the same time. It’s fun to see what’s out there but 1. I wish we had an unlimited budget and 2. I wish there was more to choose from, but this time of year isn’t the best to be looking. Thankfully we’re not in a huge hurry, just ready to feel settled!
  • I’m so excited for Christmas, I love this time of year (just not the weather). Unfortunately Ty only has Christmas Day off since he exhausted his PTO when we had Anistyn.
  • I HATE this time after having a baby and trying to find clothes that fit/look good. At least when you’re pregnant and nothing fits, you have a good reason. I don’t want to go buy a bunch of new stuff because hopefully I will lose the weight eventually, but I also need some things to get my by until I do lose it!
  • The kids are still doing great with Anistyn and seem to be adjusting well to her. I thought Emmersyn would have a hard time, but so far, so good…time will tell I suppose!
  • If you ever have the opportunity to make a meal for someone who has just had a baby, DO IT! It has been such a blessing to me and I am SO grateful to all my friends and strangers who have made us a meal! It has given me time to get used to having another baby and makes me grocery shop less often while I’m recovering! Seriously, one of the nicest and most helpful things you can probably do for someone who has just given birth (esp. if they have other children!).

  1. I love your random thoughts! So happy to hear everyone is adjusting well, not so happy to hear Lincoln is sick. How exciting that you are looking for a house! That has been a long time coming, right? At least as long as I've known you! 🙂

  2. I feel your pain with the clothes. My shirts fit, sort of, but I can't close the pants yet. I'm wearing the maternity pants still but they don't really stay up anymore. Luckily my work outfit consists of warm up pants and sweatshirts!
