Life these days

I have to admit, my life is busy at the moment! Usually I enjoy being busy and having lots to do, but these days things are fairly hectic (FUN, but hectic). For starters, lets not forget I have a 4 week old and just having a newborn makes life busy. Secondly, we started homeschooling back up last week and while I really love doing it with the kids, preparing the night before it’s as fun as laying on the couch with a baby on my chest!! To make things more busy Emmersyn decided to be potty trained. Granted she’s doing AWESOME it still takes time and energy. We started on Monday morning and haven’t looked back yet. She also hasn’t had an accident and has been super easy to potty train. I don’t even have to ask her if she needs to go, she just runs to the potty does her business and asks for a m and m after! Good job, E!

Look at those thighs…I think little toddlers in underware has to be one of the cutest thing ever:

An old friend, from high school, who I am newly friends with again lives in Grand Rapids, she also homeschools her son which has been great for playdates (for Riley especially!). We had him over and he did homeschooling with us instead of at home. They are doing a few activities working on consonant diagraphs here:

Also, as I have mentioned we’ve been house hunting. Well two weeks ago we found a house we really love and put an offer on it. The next day they accepted. Yesterday we had the inspection and if all goes well we should close before Christmas. YEAH! We are so excited but the thought of packing up again makes me want to just stay where we are. I am SO incredibly tired of pack and unpacking. It feels like that’s all we’ve done the past 7 years. This will be move #7 in 7 years…in case you’ve lost count. Hopefully, though, this will be it for a long, long time.

So, all of that on top of the holiday’s and my dad’s surgery (#5 to replace the bone they removed because of an infection! He’s doing great, by the way) I feel like I’m on auto pilot some days just trying to enjoy the kids and trying to keep my head above water!

My Dad, 2 days after surgery! Doesn’t he look great!?  Anistyn and I enjoyed spending the day with him and Jamie.

Anistyn also got to meet GG and Grandad for the first time!

Ty and I decided to venture out to lunch with all the kids this past weekend. I thought it could be difficult, but actually the kids were great and we really enjoyed our meal! However, when we got there the host told us to wait just a minute so he could push two tables together…lol, I guess that’s when you know you have a “big” family:

  1. SO glad you took time to update this when you have SOOOOO much going on. I'm tired just reading all that you're doing. And the thought of moving… I could cry for you. Even though our last one went so smoothly, it still makes me so overwhelmed for you and I didn't have to pack a thing! I will be praying! Great news about E (what a gift!) and your dad's surgery going well. Keep updating and I'll keep praying! Love ya!!!
